Can bathtubs including inlets and drain assemblies be installed anywhere?
To be able to install a bathtub including a tap, it requires the appropriate amount of space as well as a water supply connection and a drain.
In the case of a new construction, this must be taken into account in the planning stage. In the case of a renovation, it is essential to ensure that a water supply connection is already available. This is the case if an inlet is already installed or the water supply line is visible.
How does a drain assembly work?
The Geberit drain assembly uses a trap to ensure that no odours enter the bathroom from the drain. The drain assembly also features an overflow to ensure that the bath water does not overflow.
Geberit drain and overflow assemblies consist of a waste outlet, trap and an overflow with or without an inlet. The waste outlet is opened or closed by means of a rotary or pressure movement via a cable actuator.
Can I retrofit my existing bathtub with a drain assembly from Geberit?
If a product from another manufacturer is already installed, the drain assembly can only be replaced as a whole. This means the entire drain and overflow set must be replaced.
