General
HANDLING AND USE OF THE GEBERIT BIM PLUG-IN
This video shows you how to install and operate the Geberit BIM plug-in for Autodesk Revit.
The following topics are addressed:
- Installation of the Geberit BIM plug-in
- The user interface
- The different modules
- Selection of country/region and language
CATALOG MODULE
WASTE FITTINGS FOR BATHTUBS
In this video we show you how to plan the Geberit drain fittings for bathtubs in your model.
The most important Geberit waste fittings for bathtub drainage are now available. These are parametrically adaptable and easy to plan.
IMPORT OF PIPING SYSTEMS
In this video we show you how to import a piping system from an existing project into a new project.
As of the new version, it is possible to import an already planned piping system from an existing project into a new project. All relevant information is also imported.
UPDATING REVIT FAMILIES IN THE MEP MODEL
This video shows how you can update outdated Geberit articles in your model.
- Automatic search for outdated content
- Choose new article from supplied list
- Exchange current article with offered article from list automatically
HOW TO ADD INSULATION TO GEBERIT MEPLA PIPES
This video shows you how to handle Mepla pipe insulation.
- Adding insulation to Geberit Mepla pipes
- Selecting the thickness of the insulation material.
EXTENSIONS TO THE GEBERIT DUOFIX REVIT FAMILIES
In this video we show you the extensions in our Revit families of the Geberit Duofix sanitary elements.
- The depth of the connecting arc can now be adjusted.
- A maximum cutting length can now be defined for the connecting bend.
- The geometry of the flush plate box can now be hidden and displayed.
- Additional parameters have been added to the type properties.
- The adapter socket can be newly added.
- The connecting bend can be completely removed.
- Switching between OD and DN has been significantly simplified.
PLUVIA MODULE
PLUVIA FIXING SYSTEM
In this video we show you how to plan and place the fastening system in the Pluvia module.
All fastening elements of the Geberit Pluvia system are now available. When calculating the Pluvia system, the fastening elements are visualized back into the model.
PLUVIA VAPOR BARRIER CONNECTIONS AND ROOF OUTLETS
In this video we show you how the vapor barrier connections for the Pluvia roof outlets are placed and visualized in the model.
The vapor barrier connections of the Geberit Pluvia roof outlets are now integrated in the selection list and are visualized in the model after the calculation.
GEBERIT PLUVIA SYSTEM COMMON PARAMETERS
In this video we show you how to choose whether to import shared parameters into the Pluvia project.
As of the new version, shared parameters can be reused in the Pluvia project.
ORDER OF CALCULATIONS IN GEBERIT PLUVIA PROJECTS
In this video we show you how you can freely determine the order of the calculations in Pluvia projects.
The new version of the Geberit BIM plug-in makes it possible to determine the order of calculations in Pluvia projects using a list.
Custom angle planning for Geberit Pluvia pipe installation
Users of the Geberit BIM Plug-in Pluvia module can now select to allow custom angles on horizontal bends in their Pluvia design. The Geberit PE bend with large leg will be used when custom angles are used.
Planning of pipe installation for Geberit Pluvia will be now much faster
When modeling the pipe installation for a Geberit Pluvia System you have two options:
- Either “cut to fit” the fittings or
- If space for the planned fitting is not sufficient, the max cut length will be automatically added to the fitting.
Modeling the pipe installation for Geberit Pluvia provides more flexibility and customization without double work after calculation.
Installation module
Back visualization for Geberit GIS and Geberit Duofix frames
The visualization of the installation frames and elements can now be activated in the installation systems after the calculation. Thus, you get an accurate BOM for installation systems which can also be used for the planning and calculation of prefabricated systems.
ASSISTENT MODULE
CUTTING OPTIMIZATION
In this video we show you how to determine the optimal cutting of your pipe segments during the planning phase.
With this tool it is already possible in the planning stage to cut pipe segments in such a way that there is as little waste as possible. At the end of the process you will receive an exact list with the best possible lengths of all pipe segments and can thus prepare the prefabrication already in the planning. The focus is on the best possible use of the available pipe material.
PLANNING WITH NOMINAL OR OUTER DIAMETER
This video shows you how to switch from the standard diameter to the outside diameter when planning piping systems.
In some countries, the outside diameter OD is used instead of the standard diameter DN. The Geberit BIM plug-in offers the option of working with both diameter types.
Manufacture-neutral view for pipes
Perfect for tenders
Public projects are often tendered on a manufacturer-neutral basis. When the manufacturer-neutral view is activated via the assistance, no article number, product name or manufacture-specific information is displayed in the identity data.
Once the tender is over, this can be reset so that the time-consuming replacement of objects in the BIM model is no longer necessary.
Connect fitting tool
Connect fitting tool
With the connect fittings tool you can remove unnecessary pipe segments between two fittings and connect the fittings directly together.
Thus, you will have a more realistic design that more precisely represents what will be installed.
Tags for labeling elements possible
Tag elements is a new feature in the Geberit BIM Plug-in Assistants module, this provides users with Geberit Specific Tags that can be loaded into their project and can be used to tag their elements. It supports the user to label elements in a much faster and structured way improving in turn design efficiency.
